The Perfect Brunch Sandwich

 A delicious crispy, ham and cheese brunch sandwich with wonderfully bold and unique flavours.

4 slices of good quality sourdough bread

2 Tbsp butter, at room temperature

2 Tbsp truffle oil

80 g of your favourite grated cheese

3 slices virginia ham

Honey to serve



  1. Spread each slice of bread with the butter on both sides. Evenly place the ham and cheese on each slice. Cover with the second slice of bread.
  2. Heat a non stick cast iron pan and add the truffle oil. Add the sandwiches to the pan, cover the pan with a lid. Turn the sandwiches once so that they are cooked evenly on both sides.
  3. When finished, place them on a cutting board and cut them in half with a good bread knife. Serve each sandwich with a drizzle of honey, if desired, for a fantastic brunch or snack for any time of the day!
